Meeting 02/03/2010
Our Guest Speakers were: John Davis (SendOutCards) and Paul Weidler (PC Auto Reconditioning)
John Davis reminded us of how effective a greeting card is to say Thank You to an existing client, or to remind a prospective client that you are prepared to serve them. Many of the members in attendance offered a grateful Thank You to John for sending them a Birthday Card on their birthday, and some told of the picture and message that John created on their birthday card that made it unique to them. Paul Weidler – the Auto Detailer in our chapter – chuckled when he reported that John had sent him a Birthday Card with a photo of an old rusty car just waiting to be detailed back to life. John Davis also reviewed the various time-management programs that are available to help each of be on-time, on-schedule and up-to-date with our communications to friends, family and professional acquaintances. John will speak to anyone interested in developing or nurturing their personal and professional relationships through the power of greeting card communications. For less than the price of a card purchased from a stationary store, you can personalize your very own card and have it placed into an envelope, addressed, stamped (with a stamp) and sent to your recipient on the day of your choosing.
Paul Weidler shared with us his love of vehicle restoration. Paul learned to detail in the service, right out of high school, and he has never lost his love for taking dirty, faded, scratched metal, glass and plastic and restoring it to showroom condition. In a time when many are finding it hard to purchase a new vehicle, Paul has the answer for restoring the lustre of the vehicle that we currently drive to look sleek and polished. Paul has gone through extensive training to be able to offer certified drought-respective washing procedure that makes it possible for him to offer his services in areas where common auto detailers are not accepted. Paul is looking for companies that want to have him available at their place of business to offer detailing services to each of their employees while they are at work.
March will be time for a new board of directors to be chosen, so Ron Cervi, Burt Feiser and Sheila Ragan were appointed to be the Nominating Committee to nominate new board members. Stay tuned to see who will guide us through 2010.
