The Institute for Accelerating Change (IAC) has announced its first annual Accelerating Change Conference (ACC2003): Exploring the Future of Accelerating Change, to be held at Stanford University, Palo Alto, California, on September 12-14, 2003. Featured speakers include Ray Kurzweil, CEO of Kurzweil Technologies; Steve Jurvetson, Managing Director at Draper Fisher Jurvetson; Greg Papadopoulos, VP and CTO of Sun Microsystems; and Tim O'Reilly, CEO of O'Reilly & Associates.
"What will the world be like if Moore's Law (the exponential growth of computer power) holds for another 30 years?"
The only gathering of its type, ACC2003 offers a unique opportunity to develop knowledge and foresight about the most important drivers of change in the world. ACC2003 will deliver three main benefits: a community of leading thinkers, foresight into possible developments, and guidance for navigating the future.
