The last few weeks included many wonderful connections with family. I traveled to the Bay area to see my boys. We had a good reunion. Matt and Jared joined me to attend lectures delivered by my friend, Tom Owen-Towle, about men, faith and power. We saw many old friends at the lectures including Tom's spouse, Carolyn, Helen Bishop and Susan Grider, Tony and Flower Sheets, Tony Bushman, Justin Jones and Bob Mather.
Matt seems to be doing well. He continues his work at the pizza parlor and spend much of his free time with his daughter, Logan. We enjoyed a lot of one-on-one time during my visit.
Jared's big news is his new venture, supplying crab for the Tiburon Ferry's Crab Shack. I have posted a couple of photos showing him teaching customers about how to handle and cook crab in my online photo album.
We also spent time with Gwen, Ted and Jeff--friends who were visiting my ex-wife, Val. I also enjoyed time with Val's spouse, Jim, and her friend, Karen, as Jared took us all on the Tiburon Ferry to and from Angel Island.
A week later my siblings and I gathered in Arizona for a reunion. Mike was unable to join us, but the rest of us and our spouses had a good time together. Janet and I needed the relaxed pleasure enjoyed during this trip and we returned home renewed to continue our normal activities.
We will be traveling to see daughter Stephanie and her family in a few weeks. It will be good to see her ripe with Sydney and we are looking forward to playing with Jamison and visiting with Clinton.
After we see the Ray family we are driving to Chicago where Janet will attend a law conference. We may get a chance to see Bob and Mary Stolper again while we are there.
NEWS FLASH--Jon Steven has a job! He is substitute teaching at a nearby school until he leaves to teach English in St. Petersburg, Russia, in May.
